About us

For more than 30 years Alfons Thoben is breeding Oldenburg sport horses in the north of Germany. He started together with his father Heinrich in Scharrel, his place of birth, and has now the full support of his younger daughter Neele. Also the rest oft his family is doing their best to help as much as they can.

In 1993 Alfons married his wife Annette, who is also the reason for him moving to the small village Petersdorf. Their first daughter Nicola was born in 1995, Neele completed the family in 1997. The whole family has been involved since the beginning in the joy and adventures of breeding and raising horses so it wasn’t a surprise when Neele took a very important role as Alfons support and assistance. Annette tries to help out whenever she can with tasks like feeding while Nicola is responsible for online appearance and communication to international friends and contacts.

We hope to be a part of the Oldenburg horse breeding community for many years in the future and thank all supporters and friends, who make breeding such a pleasure.
